Winter Themed Platter Cookie Decorating Class 12/11/24

It’s that time of year again full of hustle and bustle preparing for the holidays! Take an evening off and relax with Audrey Edwards from Sweetflour LLC for some cookie decorating fun as you design this holiday themed “Ornament and Snowglobe Platter” cookie set! By the end of class, you will leave with confidence in knowing you can make cookies like you see on FoodNetwork’s Holiday Baking Challenge that are sure to impress family and friends alike!

The class is going to be roughly 2.5 – 3 hours in length. During class, participants will be given tips on how to bake a beautiful cut-out cookie that doesn’t spread and tips on how to make various consistencies of royal icing while learning different decorating techniques as you outline, flood, and detail your own set of the six cookies. You will be provided everything needed to decorate your cookies from start to finish along with having detailed guidance on how to decorate your cookies that will look festive on any holiday cookie platter!

Location: Farmington Community Library 23500 Liberty St, Farmington, MI 48335, Meeting Room

Class Time: 5 pm to 8:30 pm

This class will focus on the following decorating techniques:

• sectioning
• wet-on-wet
• tipless piping-work
• 3D dimensional work
• Writing

Participants will leave class with a basic understanding of cookie decorating, and with the confidence of how to apply these skills to cookies at home!
