Royal Icing Basics & Decorating Sugar Cookies Class 01/15/25

One of the most asked questions with sugar cookie decorating using royal icing is, “How do you make royal icing the right consistency to decorate with?” If you struggle with getting your icing to the right consistency or just want to learn how to make royal icing and use it to decorate all those fancy sugar cookies you see, this is the class for you!

Join Audrey Edwards owner of Sweetflour LLC for a hands-on experience as she takes you through the royal icing making process from scratch. You will use the icing made in class to learn how to color and thin down to different consistencies. Then, under Audrey’s instruction, you will learn how to use these varying consistencies to decorate some holiday themed sugar cookies.

During class, participants will also be given tips on how to bake beautiful cut-out cookies that won’t spread in addition to learning how to make and use royal icing and its various consistencies.

Participants will leave class with a basic understanding of how to make royal icing and how to apply sugar cookie decorating skills to cookies at home!
